Community

One More Day, in person.

The app is for the nights. This is the other half: campus clubs and community chapters — small groups who meet in real life and look out for each other.

Where we are today

No official clubs or chapters yet.

We would rather tell you that than dress up an empty page. There is no hidden list and no waiting room — when the first chapter exists, it will be right here, with where it meets and how to reach it directly.

Somebody has to be first. If you have been reading this far, it might be you.

Support doesn’t wait for a chapter to exist. Get support

What this is

What a chapter actually is.

Four things, so nobody has to guess what they would be walking into.
  • A small group of people who actually meet

A handful of people in one place — a school, a neighbourhood, a gym — who put a time on the calendar and turn up to it. That is the whole idea.

  • Run by the people in it

Chapters are not branches of anything. The people who start one decide what it does, how often, and what it feels like to walk into.

  • Free, with nothing to join

No dues, no membership, no application, no account. You can show up once, or every week, or come back after a year away without explaining where you went.

  • Company, not care

A chapter is people, not a support service. Nobody there is on shift, and nobody is expected to hold a crisis. If you need real support, it is free and always open.

What we’re aiming for

The kinds of things we want to make happen.

No chapter has to do all of it. Most start with one of these and stay there.
  • Open runs

Pickup basketball where nobody has to explain why they came. Show up, play, stay a while.

  • Walks and slow runs

A loop with other people, for anyone who finds it easier to talk side by side than face to face.

  • Campus clubs

Student-led groups bringing One More Day’s values to their school, in their own way.

  • Showing up for each other

Helping run a gathering, or just being the person who brings a friend along the first time.

Getting involved

How you start one.

There is no formal program to apply to. It starts with an email and ends with a date in a calendar.
  1. Step 1

    Tell us where you are

One email with your town or your school and what you have in mind. A person reads it — there is no form and no waiting list.

  2. Step 2

    We talk it through

What you want it to be, what we can help with, and what we would ask of you. Mostly: keep people safe, keep it kind, and never charge anyone to come.

  3. Step 3

    Pick a first date

One time, one place, one thing to do. First gatherings are small on purpose. Small is not a failed big.

  4. Step 4

    You get listed here

Your chapter gets a page with where it meets and how to reach you directly, so the next person can find it without going through us.

Chapters and events

You don’t have to start something to show up.

Chapters are the groups that keep meeting. Events are the one-off days — a game, a run, a gathering — that anyone can come to, chapter or no chapter. If you are not sure where to begin, begin there.

The first chapter starts with someone.

If that’s you, tell us where you are and what you have in mind. A person reads every email.
